The Project
The Research Unit on Theory of Mind together with the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Service of the Catholic University participates in the project “ADOnet: Body and Mind in a network for the well-being of adolescents. A network for the psychological and relational well-being of minors”, funded by Fondazione Cariplo as part of the call for proposals “ATTENTA-MENTE (second edition 2023)”, of which it is the leader in Centro Umanamente.
The project intends to build a network of services for fragile adolescents in the area of Milan and its province, addressing in particular those children who, although not diagnosed, show difficulties or fragilities for which it is important to receive support.
In particular, the Research Unit will take charge of training the network's adults, starting a training course for parents, teachers and pediatricians with the aim of providing some basic information about psychological development in adolescence and helping them to mentalize adolescents, that is, to better understand the thoughts and emotions of young people and use targeted strategies to support them in times of difficulty.
