Decision Making and Mental States in Economics
Decision making in the economic field as conceptualized by psycho/neuroeconomic studies has been the object of an empirical study in young adults (university students) with the aim of analyzing the intertwining of cognitive and emotional factors underlying decision-making. The decision to accept or reject fair and unfair offers in the Ultimatum Game and the concomitant emotional experience have been investigated in relation to mentalistic vs. physical descriptions of the offerer to evaluate the connection between decision-making and Theory of Mind.
